Out of Many One People will be a powerfully moving feature-length documentary that unravels the intricacies surrounding homophobia in Jamaica. Infused with reggae and dancehall music, the film will share the intimate stories of five Jamaicans bound by one common thread - their deep love for a country strongly branded as antigay. Each story will depict a unique account of conflict and survival. The film will bring the individuals to life and explore the roads they travel to reconcile their passionate love for their country with Jamaica’s alleged homophobic aggression. Ultimately, as the documentary unfolds, each of these individuals must decide one daunting question: Will they stay and confront the challenges they face or will they have to flee their home?
